The beer loving country of Ireland (130 litres per capita per year) produces the two absolute top brands Guinness and Kilkenny. They are both from the gigantic Diageo. Carlow however is a small brewery established as late as 1998. The little town of Carlow is located in the Barrow Valley Region, the traditional malt and hop producing region in Ireland. Once upon a time numerous breweries was to be seen in this region, but the producing slowly faded and was finally completely neutralized for over 100 years, until Carlow was founded ten years ago.
